Dear Fellow Oklahomans:
Did you ever wonder how you — as one person — can make a difference in the culture here in our state? Or, how you can have a voice in our government? We can help!
The 2010 Primary Election Oklahoma Voters' Guide is an educational effort of the Oklahoma Family Policy Council, a state-based non-profit organization associated with Focus on the Family. This online, interactive guide is designed to help you cast an informed vote in the upcoming Primary Election on July 27, 2010. This guide is impartial and non-partisan. Please take the time to compare the candidates in this guide, and be sure to cast your votes on Tuesday, July 27, 2010.
WHAT RACES ARE COVERED: Races for U.S. Senate, U.S. House of Representatives, Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Corporation Commissioner, Attorney General, State Treasurer, State Auditor & Inspector, State Insurance Commissioner, State Labor Commissioner, State Superintendent of Public Instruction, State Senate, and State House of Representatives.
NOTE: We only cover Contested races (where there is more than one candidate on the Democrat, Independent, or Republican ballot). For example, if a particular State Senate or State House of Representatives race is NOT listed, it has probably already been decided.
IF YOU DON"T KNOW YOUR FEDERAL & STATE DISTRICTS, please point your browser here and enter your address and zip code.
As is the usual case, we regret that not every candidate responded to our questionnaire. All Oklahoma candidates were provided opportunities to respond to our survey questions. For candidates that did not respond, we’ve provided the candidate’s contact information (when available) so you can contact them yourself to ask their positions on issues — or encourage them to contact us ASAP to complete our candidate questionnaire. We will update candidate information here, as questionnaires are returned to us throughout the electoral season.
Oklahoma's Primary Run-Off Election will be held on Tuesday, August 24, 2010, and the statewide General Election will occur on Tuesday, November 2, 2010. For the November election, we'll also be providing for you information on as many as 12 State Questions, which Oklahoma voters will decide in November, 2010.
Please let others know about the election information available here from Oklahoma Family Policy Council via this Web-site.
